{Charlie Turns One} Cake Smash---Colorado Springs Baby/Children's Photographer

I'm pleased to show you a glimpse of my delightful morning with sweet 1yr. old Charlie. Oh my goodness do I love this age!!! They are so darling...& Charlie...well, she may have been one of my favs I've photographed so far. From first sight...I was head over heels for her big brownie eyes; then it was her chubby cheeks & as the session went on, I found myself falling in love with her "grunt." Yes, you heard me right...GRUNT!!! She had me cracking up every time she did this burly, low growl with her voice. The last thing I would've ever expected to escape her little tiny body. Just another reason I love this age...their unique unpredictability. It was beautiful this morning on the first day of SPRING & well worth our few reschedules along the way this winter. I love the way the sun filled the space & brought extra life to the vibrant color scheme mom picked out: turquoise & coral. Charlie's 1st Birthday is coming up on March 27th & mom wanted to capture her first bites of cake with a cake smash session. Another favorite for me!!! I held my breath with anticipation while watching through the other side of the lens as Charlie was about to experience her first taste. At first...it was her excitement over the darling topper mom so craftily DIYed...then a big fist grab at the cake itself & finally with mom's help she got a little frosting on the lips!!! It was all delicious lip-licking & sugary grins after that. So much fun! Thanks for allowing me the pleasure to capture these precious moments for you this morning, Michelle.
